New look, same proven quality
The world's most popular protein has a new look. Since changing designs is not a quick process, you may get any of these designs depending on where or when you buy. Our updated packaging will be rolled out to all Optimum Nutrition products in due course.
Cardboard Barrier with Vents
Optimum Nutrition protein jars have a cardboard barrier that helps keep the powder in place during shipping. This white glossy protective disc should be glued to the top of the jar. The vents may be visible on the cardboard, they are necessary to reduce pressure during shipping. Check that the membrane on the outer rim of the can is not damaged.
Removing the black plastic film with the hologram on the can lid
As part of our ongoing environmental efforts, we are removing the black plastic film on the lid and the gold hologram from Gold Standard 100% Whey cans. This is a transitional process, so you may receive a can with or without the film on the lid depending on where or when you purchase. Other products with black, silver or clear plastic films will also be discontinued in the future. This will help us reduce our use of plastic and reduce waste by 4 tons per year.
