Calorific
Caloric content is the "size" of energy that is released in the human body from food during digestion. The caloric or energy value of a product is calculated in kilocalories (kcal) or kilojoules (kJ) based on 100 g of the product. In "folk" usage, kilocalories are simply called calories, meaning a certain amount of food eaten.
