Iron is essential for the human body. Its largest amount, about 70%, remains bound in the hemoglobin of circulating erythrocytes. The desired amount of iron in the body is about 3 g, and its daily requirement is necessary, albeit small. Iron is involved in the transport and storage of oxygen in tissues. Iron Puritan's Pride is also required for many metabolic changes in the synthesis and catabolism of certain hormones, in the production of rich energy compounds or in the synthesis of collagen.
